Car Parking Consideration
Posted by Stephen Ellison on 5 December 2014
Dear all,
It was great to see so many people using the facilities at Manor Park today (30/11/14), I hope your child/children had a great time and learned some useful skills.
I appreciate some of you have to travel some distance and have other children who come along to support and obviously need to park somewhere. I have received a few ‘complaints’ and would like to respectfully request that when you park you consider, in particular, the access to/from local residents’ driveways – parking either side and then opposite can cause real problems especially when there is a severely restricted view. Whilst I realise this may be locals, I was in the area today and noticed one or two cars travelling faster than the conditions really allow, again I would respectfully request that you consider your speed according to the volume of parked cars and other traffic. The area is home to many older members of the community and ambulance access is required on occasions, ensuring that space is left for such access is also something to consider please.
Thanks for taking time to read this.
Regards
