u10 Reds Charter Standard Monitoring
Posted by Stephen Ellison on 17 February 2016
Nottinghamshire FA Youth Charter Standard Club Monitoring conducted an unannounced visit to the u10 Reds in January 2016.
The club is really pleased that the team, coach and parents demonstrated the high standards expected of a FA Charter Standard club.
To all of you involved in the u10 Reds a massive thank you from the club.
The areas reported on and the comments made by the assessor are listed below:
1, Consideration of Health, Safety and Safeguarding Children prior to, during and after match:
The playing area is established and correctly marked out. Correct goalposts for age group and first aid kit was available.
Ample equipment (balls and cones) before the game to assist in warming up and training exercises.
2, Coach/Manager’s attitude:
The Toton coach and his assistant had a good rapport with their own team.
They encourged team members and gave praise when it was required.
Both coaches were respectful to the opposition and applauded good play from both teams.
No contact with supporters from both teams on the side of the pitch.
Had respect for the referee and not one decision was questioned.
3, Players’ attitude:
Players behaved impeccably on both sides and played the game in good spirits.
Players concentrated on their own game rather than get involved with the opposition and actively encourgaed each other.
There was no contact with supporters and the referee was respected and decisions accepted throughout the game.
4, Supporters’ attitude:
Supporters behaved very well.
There was no ctiticism, no questioning of referee's decisions and no conatct with any of the coaches.
Both sets of supporters stood in small groups near each other and encouraged their own team whilst applauding good play by the opposition.
5, Evidence of support of FA Respect programme:
Respect handshake before game.
Both teams conducted ‘three cheers’ shout at the end of the game.
There was a Respect barrier in place.
All other conditions complied with.
